Vancouver Taxi Association officially endorses NDP in BC election

The Vancouver Taxi Association (VTA) has officially thrown its support behind John Horgan and the NDP in the upcoming BC election.

In a statement on Friday, VTA spokesperson Carolyn Bauer, said the association is “proud” to announce its support for the NDP.

“In the view of the VTA members, the NDP is best able to protect the interests of working people and small businesses in the province, as well as the disadvantaged and minority members of our society,” said Bauer.

The VTA represents a number of cab companies in Metro Vancouver, including: Black Top Cabs, Bonny’s Taxi, Burnaby Select Metrotown Taxi, MacLures Cabs, North Shore Taxi, Richmond Cabs, Queen City Taxi, Royal City Taxi, Vancouver Taxi Ltd., Vancouver Taxi dba Handicapped Cab, and Yellow Cab.

Voters head to the polls on Saturday, October 24.
