The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is hosting a free outdoor concert this summer

May 16 2018, 3:45 pm

Outdoor concerts and a warm summer evening are two things that seem to fit hand in hand perfectly.

A prime example being the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s (VSO) Symphony in the Park, a free, annual outdoor concert held every summer at the Festival Lawn at Deer Lake Park.

The concert is a fantastic opportunity to hear an evening of live music performed by some of Vancouver’s most talented musicians – for free!

While pieces for this year’s performance haven’t yet been announced, last years event featured two of John Williams’ most popular movie themes: Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones) and the Main Title of Star Wars.

Guests are advised to arrive before 5 pm and bring their own lawn chair or blanket, as well as some snacks. Parking is limited, so be sure to give extra time and arrive early if you decide to drive.
