Sunday’s Vancouver Sun Run drew thousands of runners – around 43,000 to be exact – as well as thousands of supporters in one of North America’s biggest 10 kilometre races.
Canadian athlete Eric Gillis was the male winner this year, with a time of 28 minutes and 52 seconds, while Lanni Marchant, also Canadian, was the female winner with a time of 32 minutes and 15 seconds.

Every year, the race raises money for Raise-a-Reader, a national literacy campaign, and to date has raised over $10 million.

Yesterday I took in all the sights and sounds of the @VancouverSunRun. My boyfriend’s Mom, at 64, crushed the course at 1:13 minutes.
