Police investigating shooting in South Vancouver that injured one man

Investigators with the Vancouver Police Department are looking into what appears to be a targeted shooting in a South Vancouver residential neighbourhood.

According to a release, just after 5 pm today, police received reports of shots fired in the area of the intersection of East 53rd Avenue and Prince Edward Street.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found one man in his 30s suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was rushed to hospital with undetermined injuries.

No arrests have been made. Few details are available at this time.
