World's largest resource investment conference comes to Vancouver

Kerosene needs oil, electricity needs copper, solar panels need silver, and Tesla’s breakthrough battery technology needs lithium.

In fact everything we use from our phones and computers to our cars, buildings and even the fertilisers used to help grow our food, are made up of minerals, almost 50% of which are developed by companies right here in Canada.

Vancouver plays a leading role in Canada’s mineral exploration industry and for decades it has been the global leader in finding new deposits. This industry has fueled some of Vancouver’s most colourful characters, from legendary stock promoters to world-renowned entrepreneurs.

It’s only apt then that on Sunday, January 24 the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference is returning to the Vancouver Convention Centre to showcase Canada’s achievements in the mineral discovery industry. The two-day event gathers experts from across the globe to share insight on future trends, opportunities and threats in global mineral development.
