Vancouver in for a mix of weather in lead-up to Remembrance Day

Nov 7 2025, 5:48 pm

Another long weekend (for some people) is upon us, and the Vancouver weather forecast reflects the fragmented time off with the Remembrance Day statutory holiday landing on a Tuesday.

So, technically, it’s only really a long weekend if you booked Monday off.

In the lead-up to the stat, Friday kicks off with some classic Vancouver conditions. A mix of sun and rain throughout the day with a high of 11˚C and a low of 6˚C at night.

Environment and Climate Change Canada predicts Saturday to be quite nice, with mainly sunny skies and another high of 11˚C but a chillier 4˚C overnight.

On Sunday, there’s another mix of conditions with some sunny skies in the day, followed by more rain at night.

After that, Raincouver strikes at full force. Between Monday and Thursday, including the Remembrance Day stat on Tuesday, it’s rain, rain, and more rain. Between those days, temperatures are expected to hover between 10˚C and 11˚C in the day, and overnight lows will average around 6˚C.

ECCC doesn’t currently have any predictions for total rainfall amounts.

ECCC

For some insights into the weather beyond the Remembrance Day period, we recently spoke to an ECCC meteorologist about winter weather conditions and when Vancouver might even see some snow.

For those who wish it sooner rather than later, Daily Hive was informed by ECCC Meteorologist Derek Lee that we likely won’t see temperatures cold enough until December or even early 2026.

October ended with mostly seasonal temperatures. Lee said ECCC expects a shift in November.

“We still have a good confidence that it should still be above normal for temperatures [in November],” Lee told Daily Hive.

“Then after that, in December and all the way into February, that’s where things really fall apart.”

What Lee meant by that is the signals ECCC has access to, from which it determines future weather patterns, are too weak. That doesn’t necessarily rule out some freak snow in November, it just means it’s hard to tell, at this point.

Did you take Monday off? Also, did you know that the matrix isn’t real?
