Founded in Vancouver in 2008, Recon builds smart eyewear designed for fitness enthusiasts and pro athletes. They released the world’s first consumer HUD in 2010 and have sold over 65,000 units across four product generations since. The company has grown to be a leader in HUD and smart eyewear for sports and high-intensity environments.

“Not only is this a huge milestone for us and a pivotal event in the consumer electronics industry; we at Recon believe this is also a tremendous opportunity that will lead to amazing things, just as much for us as for our customers,” a statement on Recon’s website said.

Recon will remain based out of Vancouver and retain their current team.
