Vancouver Public Library is holding a huge book sale this October

Whether you consider yourself a casual reader, or a big-time bookworm, there’s a literary event coming to the Vancouver Public Library (VPL) in the form of a huge book sale next month, and you’ll certainly want to be there.

The event takes place from October 24 to 26, in the Alice McKay Room, at the VPL’s main branch at 350 West Georgia Street.

More than just books, however, the sale will also feature CDs and video games among the offerings.

All sales are final, and attendees are asked to bring their own bags to carry their new finds home in.

For those who just can’t wait to get until then to get their read on, Friends of the VPL is hosting a book sale this month, as well.

The event takes place from September 19 to 21, at the VPL’s main branch too, from 10 am to 5 pm each day.

Proceeds support special library projects and programs, in partnership with Friends of the Vancouver Public Library.

Prices start at just 50 cents for some items, and anything that remains unsold by Saturday will be half price.

With so many different titles available at two separate sales, it’s safe to say you’ll be able to find your next favourite work of fiction, or non-fiction, at a storybook price.
