Everyone wants to own a place in Vancouver but it’s a reality that feels almost impossible to attain.
With property prices constantly increasing, many people are giving up hope. The reality of it all sounds a little bleak, but there is hope in a game of chance. You could actually win a brand new home when you play BC Children’s Hospital’s Dream Lottery.
It’s the biggest and best value lottery in BC where you could win one of eight grand prize home/cash choices. And the highest prize value exceeds $2.6 million. Seriously.
In total, there are more than 3,100 prizes worth more than $3.5 million up for grabs when you play this game and you’ll be giving back to an amazing cause at the same time, to help all children needing vital healthcare in BC.
To help you see why playing the BC Children’s Hospital’s Dream Lottery is worthwhile, here’s a look at the prize homes that you could win.
Just imagine waking up in this home that you could call your own every morning. Located in South Surrey, it offers so much more square footage than you’d get in downtown Vancouver. But the best part is that you can unwind here in the evenings knowing that you don’t have a mortgage to repay.
Suitable for young professionals and families, this home has all you need to throw an amazing dinner party for your friends. Its South Surrey location means that you can easily drive to Vancouver in no time and you can also enjoy tons of amenities in the area.
But that’s not all. There are even more choices up for grabs when you play BC Children’s Hospital’s Dream Lottery – the Grand Prize winner will choose one of eight options, including the homes above or the following:
- A Grand Prize condo in Vancouver ‘s False Creek
- Condos in Tsawwassen and Osoyoos (together in one Grand Prize)
- Condos in North Vancouver
- An ocean cottage that overlooks the Pacific Ocean at SookePoint (Vancouver Island)
- A mountain view home in Squamish that’s only an hour from Whistler
- The eighth Grand Prize choice – $2.2 million in tax-free cash
- Bonus Prizes: The winner will choose a $30,000 travel prize from Carlson-Wagonlit. This includes a vacations gift card to use on any trip to any destination they’d like, or a sports package that includes a 16-person Vancouver Canucks game suite, a ‘Roadtrips’ vacation to the 2018 Masters or 2018 Super Bowl, plus $20,000 cash
Every year, BC Children’s Hospital provides expert care to more than 86,000 kids which results in more than 234,000 patient visits. At least 9,000 children require surgery due to life-threatening illness/injury every year.
In 2016 alone, the 24-hour emergency department saw over 46,000 patients and right now 800 kids are receiving cancer treatment at the hospital. Doctors performed 200 open heart surgeries in theatres at the hospital last year, and more than half of patients were under the age of one.
If you play the lottery to support the work done at BC Children’s Hospital, you’ll be in with the chance of winning one of eight grand prizes, then you can also play two extra games – the Big Passport PLUS and the 50/50 PLUS. Prizes for these games include travel, hockey tickets, and cash (91 winners in 91 days, worth over $305,000). The 50/50 PLUS jackpot could grow over $2.2 million, and if you win, you’ll walk away with half of the total prize.
