Gypsies, tramps and thieves. No wait, drag queens, men and sweat! Vancouver pride is almost upon us and although marriage equality and pop culture inclusion seems like the norm now, we can’t forget our brothers and sisters who fought for our rights today.

This will be the 37th annual Pride Festival in Vancouver and the folks at Blueprint are already prepping their minds, bodies and souls for the uninhibited celebrations that will arise during this year’s Pride.

Beginning as a protest march in 1978, the Vancouver Pride Festival has evolved into the largest parade in Western Canada, and the fifth largest Pride celebration in the world. What began as a small event in 1981 has now grown into a landmark parade encompassing hundreds of people and city-wide festival attracting over 650,000 people from all four corners of the world to the streets of Vancouver.

It’s a chance for people to come together to show their support to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and to celebrate acceptance and the freedom to be who you are, no matter your ethnicity, sexuality, size or shape.

Blueprint has announced their annual PRIDE WEEK lineup at their flagship club Celebrities Nightclub going down from Tuesday, July 28 to Sunday, August 3 for EXPRESS YOURSELF.

Every year, Celebrities produces the most outrageous unforgettable Pride parties. This year marks their their third year of hosting legendary events in their recently renovated space that includes state of the art Funktion One sound.

They will be going hard all week long from their busiest weekly party TUESDAYS to a LIVE Spice Gurls drag reunion show, to their legendary 13-hour party HISTORY SUNDAY, with international talent DJ Chris Cox in between. Also they will have a bangin’ stage during the street party. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Celebrities float during the parade, they are known to make some noise.
