The Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man responsible for Friday morning’s attack of a woman in Fraser River Park.

Around 9:00 a.m., a 52 year old woman was walking her dog in the area of West 75th Avenue and Tidewater Place when she was assaulted by an unidentified man.

The woman was dragged a short distance but managed to scream, drawing attention to her attacker.

The witnesses came to the woman’s aid, scaring off the man. He was last seen driving off in a dark coloured pickup truck.

The suspect was described as white with a dark skin tone, 5’7″ tall, with a medium build and black hair. No clothing description is available at this time.

The woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault. She was treated in hospital and has since been released.

Anyone with information about this attack is asked to call the Vancouver Police Sex Crimes Unit at (604) 717-0600 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
