Reports are coming in that shots have been fired by Vancouver Police following a pharmacy robbery at Oak Street near West 42nd Avenue.

Shortly before 10:00 a.m. two masked men entered and robbed the pharmacy targeting money and prescription drugs. They fled to a waiting stolen Ford Taurus with an additional suspect inside.

Police found the stolen Ford abandoned near 43rd Avenue and Hudson Street, and witnesses informed officers that the men got into a Jeep Cherokee, also believed to be stolen.

The stolen Jeep was spotted by uniformed officers stuck in traffic on Oak Street near 67th Avenue. The officers challenged the three men and during that contact, one shot was fired by police.

The suspects fled and eventually abandoned the Jeep near 62nd Avenue and Manitoba Street before stealing a Dodge Neon. Police continue to search for the suspects and the third stolen car.

There are no reported injuries.

Anyone with information about the robbery or suspects is asked to contact the Vancouver Police or Crime Stoppers.
