Map: 72 patios in Vancouver open until 1 a.m. (COMPLETE LIST)

Vancouver has taken another step in the right direction. After allowing less than 50 patios to be open until midnight last summer, the City of Vancouver has allowed 72 restaurants throughout Vancouver to keep their patios open until 1 a.m. as part of the City’s extended patio pilot project.

“Vancouver’s summer is off to an early start, and extended patio hours are making our city home to even more vibrant and lively streetscapes,” Mayor Gregor Robertson said in a statement.

Currently, there are nearly 575 patios, both large and small, eligible for the extension. Interested businesses can apply online.

“There’s no better place to enjoy Vancouver’s famed local food culture than on a patio,” the Mayor said.
