Tuesday Night Racing at Cypress Mountain

What: Coast Outdoors hosts Tuesday night cross-country ski races at Cypress Mountain in the Nordic area. All skill levels and abilities are welcome.

Raven Backcountry Festival

What: Raven Backcountry Festival is a showcase of Pemberton’s backcountry terrain and people that help show it off to the world. The weekend includes social events, clinics, guest presenters, and more. Raven Fest is also raising funds for the Lisa Korthals Memorial bursary which helps teach aspiring female backcountry guides.

Ravenous Raptors

What:​ Learn why raptors are great hunters by chatting with naturalists around displays and a campfire. The Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Centre Open House is also happening, with presentations, tours, and more. Presented by Kanaka Education & Environmental Partnership Society

Family Day Hike And Campfire Cookout

What: ​Celbrate Family Day with an outdoor adventure at Belcarra Regional Park. Go for a walk through the seaside forest, then share stories and songs around the campfire. Attendees are invited to bring their own marshmallows or campfire treats.

Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival

What: Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival features dozens of screenings, workshops and events in 10 venues across Metro Vancouver. Learn from guest speakers and then watch some of the best mountain and outdoor films from around the world.

24 Hours of Winter at Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain Resort/Grouse Mountain

What: Grouse Mountain is once again hosting its annual 24 Hours of Winter event, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the slopes from sundown to sunrise. The non-stop event will take place from February 22 to February 23, and features skiing, snowboarding, skating and more with live DJs setting the musical mood. A complimentary shuttle will be running from 12 am to 7 am on Sunday between Grouse Mountain and key locations in North Vancouver.

Indigenous Plant Use

What: Stanley Park Ecology Society hosts a workshop on indigenous plant use. Attendees will walk through the forest and learn with an experienced educator of Coast Salish descent. Learn about edible, medicinal, and survival uses of plants, as well as the traditional and present-day Indigenous relationships with local plant and wildlife.

RunGo Dash for Dogs

What: A guided 10 km, 5 km or 2 km run or walk through Stanley Park with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to BC and Alberta Guide Dogs. After the run there will be a social event with pancakes, prizes, and entertainment. Dogs are welcome, and must be on leash and under control at all times for the safety of the working guide dogs.
