Vancouver One of theTop Beach Cities in the World

As Vancouverites we all at times take for granted how great the city is. Is it perfect? Hell no, but you tell me a city that is perfect, bet you can’t. Truth is we have it pretty good here, especially during the summer time. This recent survey from the National Geographic confirms what we at Vancity Buzz have been telling you all along, Vancouver is an awesome city for beaches (Check out our top 5 list here). Worldwide it ranked #10 and #3 in North America, behind only Miami and Santa Monica. It doesn’t hurt that we also have some of the most beautiful women on the planet calling Vancouver home.

Here is what National Geographic had to say about our beaming metropolis:

Canada’s most adventurous metropolis is home to ten beaches, from the family-centric Jericho to the clothing-optional Wreck Beach, many of which offer commanding views of the Vancouver skyline and majestic North Shore Mountains. Sporty types prefer Kitsilano or “Kits,” a six-minute drive from downtown, for its free tennis and basketball courts, and its super-size heated saltwater pool.
