11 times Vancouver One Direction fans lost it on Twitter
It’s One Direction mania in Vancouver this week as the British pop band prepares to play a nearly sold-out show at B.C. Place on Friday, July 17. With their young – and mostly female – fan base, local social media has been whipped into a complete frenzy as the countdown begins.
There is no doubting the infectiousness of Harry, Louis, Niall and Liam, the four bandmates once joined by Zayn Malik before his sudden departure earlier this year. They have 24.1 million followers on Twitter as a band and 88 million between the four of them. On Instagram, they have 9.4 million followers and almost 38 ‘likes’ on Facebook.
With #OTRAVancouver trending (that means On the Road Again, for those not quite ‘in the know’), tweets are rolling every second and some fans just can’t seem to hold it together. With more than 24 hours left to go before the boys hit the stage, it seems many in Vancouver have already fallen ill with One Direction Infection.
