Vancouver is the third best coastal city in the world, according to new rankings from Chicago Cruise Lines.
Meanwhile, Auckland, New Zealand, was named best coastal city in the world and Barcelona, Spain, came in a close second.
The cruise line company ranked the top 25 coastal cities according to six criteria: arts and architecture, nature, food, music, sports and recreation, and a wild card attribute.
They also considered rankings by organizations like Mercer and Euromonitor, to consider the value of each city from both a residential perspective and a tourism perspective.
