Vancouver man puts positive spin on Neknomination

Last week, we told you about ‘Neknomination,’ an extreme drinking game that is making making waves all over the world and has already led to a few deaths.

The aim of the “game” is to complete a drinking dare by necking a pint, and then nominating two others to out-dare you within 24 hours. Inevitably, given the heady mix of alcohol and competition involved, each new video posted online is becoming more extreme for the entertainment of the masses.

Vancouverite, Julian DeShutter decided to take a more positive approach by feeding the homeless instead of chugging down copious amounts of alcohol.

‘Neknomination’ sees friends dare each other to drink large amounts of alcohol, and post the video online.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, I couldn’t not do my NekNomination. But I was going to do it my way. I wanted to take something powerful and do something good with it. Something the world needs more of. This was the result. #thenewnek #RAKnomination
