It’s not every day you have the opportunity to throw your hat in the ring for the chance to cash in a brand new condo in downtown Vancouver.

As opposed to a traditional lottery, you can also feel good about the fact that proceeds will be going towards a good cause.

By participating in the Choices Lottery, you’re helping impact the lives of children in BC and around the world as money raised goes to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Earnings support research breakthroughs that have the potential to conquer childhood illnesses, from conditions like childhood cancer to rare diseases.

The support brings hope to children and their families and helps fund hundreds of researchers at BC Children’s Hospital who are working to solve the mysteries of childhood illnesses. Whether or not you strike out on all the fun prizes, it’s a true win-win.

Among the fantastic prizes up for grabs is a stunning Vancouver condo in False Creek’s 18-storey tower, located in the city’s Olympic Village district. Not to mention, the prize package comes equipped with a new set of wheels — a 2021 BMW 745 LE xDrive Sedan Plug-in Hybrid — and $600,000 cash.

Aside from the perks of enjoying the best urban life has to offer — from nearby coffee shops, brewpubs, and city parks — living here means having lots of room to stretch your legs. The luxury condo is 1,109 sq ft, complete with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The $2.5 million home boasts stunning views, both from its private balcony and the wide windows that grace nearly every room. Though its prime location means having a walkable lifestyle, a parking spot for your new ride would be included.

In the gourmet kitchen, you’ll find designer cabinetry and soft-close drawers. The modern cooking space comes with your choice of granite or quartz countertops and a stainless steel fridge, built-in wall oven, microwave oven, and hood fan.

The four-burner gas cooktop means easy cooking, while the in-sink waste disposal spells easy composting. Recessed pot lighting and pendant lighting over the breakfast bar give the space a bright and contemporary feel — the ideal spot to start your mornings with a cup of warm coffee.

Its elegant bathrooms, on the other hand, are adorned with granite or marble countertops, a porcelain sink, a custom-designed mirror, designer cabinetry, vanities, and a polished chrome faucet. It’s hard not to envision yourself decompressing in the deluxe soaker tub after a long day, bubbles and all.

Plus, who wouldn’t want to wake up in this spacious master bedroom with the sun beaming through its broad windows? Laundromats, naturally, will become a thing of the past thanks to your own in-suite laundry.

On the fifth floor is a podium garden overlooking the park and Olympic Village where you can sit and read or sip a happy hour cocktail. The building features many other amenities, including a gym, multiple social lounges, and a children’s play area.

If you can believe it, the list of available prizes doesn’t even end there. In fact, there are seven other grand prize options available, like extravagant homes in Morgan Creek, South Surrey, Vernon, Okanagan Falls, Courtenay, Victoria — as well as a $2.2 million cash prize.

The Daily Hive team recently paid a visit to the six-bedroom, six-bathroom South Surrey Choices Lottery home to see what the expansive 3,575 sq ft home has to offer — and we were not disappointed.

Among the many hallmarks of this bright living space is its open concept main floor with a gas fireplace, crystal chandeliers, a media room, and spa-inspired en suite bathroom. You can take our word for it or take a look for yourself below.

Outside of the Choices Lottery homes, there’s the potential to win tons of other prizes. For instance, you can buy tickets for the 50/50 PLUS draw for the chance to win up to $2 million (depending on the number of tickets sold). Last year’s lucky winner took home half of $1.6 million.

From May to August, there will be $345,000 worth of prizes to be won for the Daily Cash PLUS game. The giveaways span 101 days in total with a $2,500 cash winner announced every day from Saturday to Thursday and a $5,000 winner each Friday. On August 9, the game will culminate with two cash prizes of $30,000.

When it comes to the other draws, it pays to get in early. Early bird draws and bonuses are ongoing from February to March and feature rewards like brand new vehicles, luxury trips, spending money — and even a private jet to Maui.

BC Children’s Hospital serves the largest geographic region of any children’s hospital in North America, and the breakthroughs they achieve have positive outcomes for children in BC and beyond.

Every year, the hospital treats over 96,000 kids, many of whom are dealing with debilitating illnesses and chronic conditions. Research is crucial to finding treatments, and the annual Choices Lottery can help advance the field of childhood health and help children overcome these health challenges.
