Are you a kid or a grown-up playing Lego? Come to the Vancouver Lego Games on April 28 at Firefighter’s Club by Metrotown to meet and compete against other Lego builders. If you already have a creative and unique Lego model built at home, the competition also allows you to showcase your Lego creation to win prizes.
The Vancouver Lego Games started with five students from the University of British Columbia to fundraise for the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. The event is for all ages and there are two ways to participate in the competition. The first one is “Ready, Set, Build!” where attendees will be divided and competing live against other people of their age group. Everyone will be given Lego bricks and a theme for their creation. The second one is “My Own Creation” where people can bring in their own Lego constructions and showcase them to attendees. Robin Sather, who is the only certified Lego professional in Canada, will be judging all the models by age groups and the selected individuals from the two competitions will receive rewards. It is expected that there will be 300 participants coming to the event, so purchase your ticket to come meet and compete against other Lego builders of your age!
