Today the City launched the Pop-Up City Hall program, a mobile City Hall that provides easy access to key municipal services in different Vancouver neighbourhoods.
The Pop-Up City Hall pilot emerged out of the Quick Start recommendations from the Mayor’s Engaged City Task Force.
“The City of Vancouver’s Pop-Up City Hall is a new way to provide better service for city residents, build stronger connections between neighbourhoods and City Hall, and make it easier to access key municipal services,” said Mayor Gregor Robertson. “People have busy lives, and it’s not always convenient to stop by City Hall during the work week. With Pop-Up City Hall, we’re bringing City Hall to the community spaces where people live, and working to build a stronger, more engaged city.”

Modelled after the City of Boston’s City Hall to Go program, Vancouver’s Pop-Up City Hall is the second program of its kind in North America.
