Vancouver Laneway Homes Tour

Dec 19 2017, 4:35 pm

With over 1000 laneway housing permits already issued since the City of Vancouver launched the program in 2009, it’s safe to say that laneway homes are here to stay. Tomorrow, October 19, The Vancouver Heritage Foundation is hosting a Vancouver laneway homes tour.

Built behind existing buildings, the laneway house can be a way to meet Vancouver’s growing population, while saving homes from the landfill. VHF only opens laneway homes built behind existing residences.

They are no longer able to mail out tickets but tickets can be ordered online or picked up from their office at 402-510 W Hastings until 4 p.m. today. They will also be available for pick up or purchase October 19th ONLY at their information booth (Garage of 945 W 33rd Ave.) from 12 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The tour will take you to seven laneway homes, runs for approximately four hours, and can accommodate up to 500 people.

Tickets are $30 and can be bought here.
