The Vancouver forecast for July is out, and temperatures are about to rise across the region as summertime continues.
Environment and Climate Change (ECCC) is calling for a chance of drizzle on Canada Day in Metro Vancouver, with a mix of sun and cloud to wrap up the work week.
However, according to ECCC meteorologist Brian Proctor, the forecast is shaping up to soon be warmer than normal in the Lower Mainland.

“Some showers may be possible on Canada Day, but things will soon clear,” explained Proctor. “Then the upper ridge will rebound and strengthen for the first weekend of the new month.
“The upper ridge should be sticking around for the first week of July, with drying conditions and warming for higher than normal temperatures with mainly sunny skies.”
ECCC’s Canadian Climate Normals data shows that the daily average temperature in July for Vancouver is 18.2°C. The month averages 34.1 mm of rainfall.
Proctor added that the region will experience fairly typical July weather.
“The forecast is looking dry and warm,” said the ECCC meteorologist. “Daytime highs will be around 22°C for the early part of the month, but by mid-July, expect temperatures to reach around 24 to 25°C. Overnight lows will be around 14°C.”
