Two Vancouver hotels named among top 10 best in Canada
Two downtown Vancouver hotels have been named among the best in Canada, with a Whistler spot also landing in the top five.
The Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver claimed second in Canada in US News’ latest ranking of the world’s best hotels. The hotel is known for its jaw-dropping waterfront views, luxury spa offerings, and high-class dining — popular with both tourists and locals looking for a staycation.

The Four Seasons Resort Whistler came in fifth in the hotel ranking but was named number one in a separate category that ranked the best resorts in Canada.

The Rosewood Hotel Georgia placed sixth on the hotel ranking list. The downtown Vancouver accommodation boasts some of the best dining options in the city and is known for its iconic rooftop patio.

This year, the hotel that took the top spot for the best hotels in Canada was the Four Seasons in Toronto. The Four Seasons in Montreal placed third.
To be considered for US News & World Report’s Best Hotels rankings, accommodations must be luxury stays, which consistently receive 4- or 5-star hotel class ratings and must have a minimum review count of 20 reviews.
The platform scores hotels based on awards and recognition, hotel class, and guest ratings.
The highest-rated hotels — including the Vancouver and Whistler accommodations mentioned — receive a Gold Badge. “These are the top 25% of ranked luxury hotels, resorts or all-inclusive resorts within a ranking list. Lists include the best hotels, resorts and all-inclusive resorts in the USA, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Bermuda,” stated US News & World Report.
