Vancouver Hip-Hop: Diamonds in the Rough

Diamonds in the Rough is an all female Vancouver based hip hop dance crew. They’ve submitted a video to MTV for a chance to win their very own reality TV show, and are seeking some help to gain a larger audience on our Youtube. The winners of this competition is based on views and followers on YouTube & Twitter. The winner is chosen on June 28th.

By being one of the strongest all-female hip hop crews in Vancouver, they are avid promoters of femininity and strength to dancers and women of all ages in and around our community.

Their shared passion for hip-hop dance and it’s culture has formed a unified drive within their group that reflects in the rest of the community promoting dance in various places and opportunities.

They’ve had the chance to perform all over North America with extreme feedback from places such as Los Angeles and Seattle. They’ve proven that although Vancouver has a smaller community than some places, it has unreal talent, drive and can really make anything possible.

With the MTV reality TV show contest that they’ve entered in, they’ve already tripled their subscribers, followers, viewers and fans. In such a small place like Vancouver, its extremely hard to maintain that. Being on MTV they are looking to further their opportunities as dancers and performers. Furthermore, it will heighten and help grow Vancouver’s community while showcasing our beautiful city and it’s talents to the rest of the world.Check them out on:
