DH Vancouver Staff May 05, 2016 12:05 pm

Has someone you know been affected by heart disease or stroke? This year’s Hearts of Gold Gala hopes to prevent these often tragic outcomes, by raising funds for crucial research.

The landmark fundraising gala on June 3 will include a cocktail reception, dinner service, live auction, raffle, jive and late night buffet.

Hosted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, it will help support research to prevent heart disease and stroke, save lives and promote recovery.

“Each year, we’re amazed by the outstanding support we receive from leaders and community members,” said Adrienne Bakker, CEO, Heart and Stroke Foundation, BC & Yukon.

“This gala not only allows us to come together and celebrate the extraordinary strides we’ve made in improving the lives of children and adults across British Columbia, but it also reminds us of our commitment to end heart disease and stroke.”

An estimated 1.6 million Canadians are living with heart disease or the effects of stroke.

Tables and tickets for the gala are on sale now. Individual tables are $350, or book an entire table of 10 for $3,500. Sales end on May 27.
