The streets are about to get spooky.
Vancouver’s Halloween Parade and Expo is returning this month to feed the festive buzz as Halloween approaches.
The festivities begin on Thursday and Friday, October 15 and 16 with performing arts at Tom Lee Music Hall from 7 to 9 p.m. Then on Saturday and Sunday, an Expo at the PNE featuring food, performances, costumes and make-up fills out the weekend, culminating with the annual parade on Sunday, October 18 at 11 a.m.
The parade will start at Howe Street and Drake and continue down to Smithe Street. It will then turn left down Smithe and continue up Granville Street, finishing between Davie and Drake Street.
There will also be a shuttle bus taking parade attendees to the PNE expo before 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The parade is free for spectators, but the other weekend events including the Expo and performances at Tom Lee Music Hall require passes. Guests at the PNE can also enter Playland’s Fright Nights wearing costumes on Saturday and Sunday evenings. This is the only time costumes will be allowed into Fright Nights.
Grab those ghoulish costumes and start Halloween off right.
