Vancouver Giants Teddy Bear Toss 2015 returns to support local charities

Dec 20 2017, 2:58 am

Get ready to toss Teddy Bears at everyone’s favourite Vancouver holiday hockey tradition.

The 2015 Teddy Bear Toss takes place Friday December 18, 7:30 p.m. as the Vancouver Giants face off against the Everett Silvertips at The Pacific Coliseum.

For the game, which is presented by Telus in support of local charities, fans are encouraged to bring along a new stuffed toy to toss onto the ice. But don’t worry if you don’t find time to buy a bear in advance, you can also pick one up on the Ring of Honour with proceeds going towards The Province Empty Stocking Fund and the CKNW Orphans’ Fund.

Just be ready for the Giants’ first goal when all manner of cuddly carnage breaks loose as fans toss their teddies onto the rink. Once the flurry of flying bears has died down the teddies are collected and given to those in need just in time for the holiday season.
