Now in its 30th year, the Festival d’été francophone de Vancouver (Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival) is returning this month.

The event is one of the most important cultural and musical francophone events in Western Canada and has taken place every June since its inception in 1990.

At the festival, experience more than a week of concerts where thousands of people will come together to hear artists from across Canada and around the world. You don’t have to be a Francophone enthusiast to attend, either! After all, nothing screams summer more than the great vibes of a music festival.

Every year, the population of Vancouver at large as well as tourists who are interested in taking in a unique cultural experience attend, with the festival being largely multicultural.

Since its first year, the Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival has presented many international artists, with this year being no different.

On June 13, the festival will welcome Gabriel Dubreuil and Early Spirit, Cassandra Dubuc, and Agathe Riopel. For its second day, Justin Lacroix and Arnaud Granoux will perform onstage.

On June 15, renowned singers Gregory Charles and Marc Hervieux will take the stage on West 7th Avenue, with an opening by multi-instrumentalist and guitar virtuoso artist, Alpha Yaya Diallo.

Attendees can also look forward to a stellar closing show with an internationally-known artist, Diane Tell, for the first time in partnership with Air Canada. The full line-up for the festival, including several free concerts, can be viewed on the Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival website.

You will also be able to register for tickets (and you’ll want to get them soon before they sell out)!

Grab your best friends, your family, and of course, a glass of wine, and head down to the Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival this month.
