Vancouver’s turbulent weather forecast continues this week, but we are inching closer to the time when heavy coats can finally be stashed away in the closet for the season.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the week ahead will feature a mix of sun, rain and windy periods.
The region is also heating up with a big jump in temperatures forecasted.

Things may get a little blustery to start off the shortened work week as winds can gust up to 20 km/h starting this afternoon and into this evening.
And things are brightening up after a brief but dramatic weather event unfolded over parts of Metro Vancouver over the weekend.
Eastern areas of the region experienced lightning, intense pea-sized hail, and heavy rainfall, and a funnel cloud was also spotted swirling in the sky.
During the bout of unsettled weather, a rotating column of air resembling the early stages of a tornado appeared.
