Vancouver is in for some spring showers to start the last week of May, but sunshine will make an appearance before the weather turns grey once again.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is forecasting rain showers on the morning of Monday, May 25.
The region will also experience a gamut of weather conditions on Monday, ranging from high winds to evening fog.

“In our current state, there’s a flow off the B.C. coast bringing in showers,” said ECCC meteorologist Ken Dosanjh. “By this afternoon, we could see anywhere from two to eight mm of rain.
“There will also be enhanced winds in the south to south-east, so in the areas of South Delta, Boundary Bay, and White Rock. Winds could gust up to 50 to 60 km, though they could clear up this afternoon.”
Metro Vancouver may experience lingering showers throughout the day, and there is also a potential for fog patches developing after midnight.
“When you have moist air that falls on the ground once the system swings through, fog patches could form,” explained Dosanjh.

ECCC
Sunshine returns on Tuesday, and ECCC is calling for a high of 20°C or 24°C inland, the warmest day of the week.
Sunshine is expected to stick around until Thursday, before rain is forecasted to return to end the week.
There’s a 60 per cent chance of showers on Thursday night, and another 60 per cent chance of showers on Friday morning.
Overnight lows for the week ahead will hover between 9°C and 12°C, with cloudy conditions in the weather outlook for Saturday and Sunday.
“Statistically, Vancouver is below average for monthly precipitation, so any precipitation is welcome at this point,” added Dosanjh. “Temperatures will remain seasonal, or possibly a few degrees above.”
