Vegan friendly Korean food is a dream of mine in Vancouver. @annabellechoistudio made that come true with her @docklunch_offmain takeover. Her food is plant-forward and local-minded without the pretension of being so. She doesn't advertise her food items as being vegan or gluten free, although they often are, so that people have an open mind without the preconceived notions that some people have about these diets. (Keep in mind that it may not always be vegan; check her feed to see the menu of the day.) Did I mention that she's also a killer baker? Yup, she's amazing! Check out @docklunch_offmain 8-4 for coffee from @aubadecoffee and 11-4 for lunch from @annabellechoistudio Tuesday to Sunday until September 9th.

Dinner is served. On this large 21" plate, a seafood boil using only local ingredients. The broth was layered with Old Bay spice, fresh herbs, and different ingredients. I've done different variations of the broth and my favourite is still with white wine. This is a perfect example of when ingredients are fresh, the (home) cooking method doesn't need to be complicated. @freshideasstarthere is opening their second location in Kitsilano this fall. I look forward to dropping by and getting my regular fix of seafood ❤️ Once again I am grateful to be able to enjoy this delicious food with my dearest.
