Celebrate Roots: Vegetable Harvest Dinner

Edible Canada welcomes Brian Luptak of the acclaimed Vancouver restaurant, The Acorn, to present Celebrate: Roots, a Vegetable Harvest dinner at their bistro on Granville Island. The Acorn has been named one of the ‘World’s 10 Best Vegetarian Destinations’ by CNN, one of many accolades due in large part to Chef Luptak’s creativity and talent. Tickets include welcome cocktail, multi-course set menu dinner, wine pairings.

Easy Everyday French Dinner #1

This demo class by Tartine and Maple is focused on teaching attendees how to create a simple French meal. Attendees will learn how to make Pear, Endive and Blue Cheese salad, “Escalope a la creme” (chicken breast tender, pan seared and creamy mustard sauce), and “Clafoutis” (seasonal fruits cook in a flan-like batter).

Feast on the Fraser

Feast on the Fraser is back this fall for ten days of food-filled fun in New Westminster. Taking place from September 22 until October 1, this event offers everything from longtable dinners to cultural tastings and everything in between. Feast on the Fraser was created to show people the best of what New West has to offer – from food to fun, this schedule is packed with exciting culinary events.

Dumpling Pop-Up

The Dumpling King – AKA Matt Murtagh-Wu – has been killing it with his home-made dumpling delivering service, and now, after a successful pop-up series in February, the King returns this month. Vancouverites have four opportunities to head to East Van for a evening of dumpling-fuelled shenanigans, September 22 and 23 and September 29 and 30. The King will be serving up his signature varieties of Johnnie Walker Black Pork Belly and Scallion and Five Spice Vegetarian dumplings.

When: September 22 and 23 and September 29 and 30 from 6 to 9 pm
