May is turning into June this week, so what better reason to celebrate us getting closer to summer than heading out to drink some beer or sit down to a feast.

Here are 7 Vancouver food events to check out this week, May 29 to June 4, 2017.

1. Vancouver Craft Beer Week 

Raise a glass to craft beer in all its ways and glory at Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW). Although things already kicked off on May 26, there’s something for everyone this whole week, including a Belgian beer night on May 29, right on through to the big weekend-long tasting fest on the PNE grounds.

2. Barbarian’s Feast at The Cascade Room

The Cascade Room will host their first-ever “Barbarian’s Feast” on May 29. It’s going to be a night all about feasting and drinking, featuring locally-sourced meats, whiskey and beer, and special cocktails created by the Cascade Room’s top-notch bar team. Your ticket gets you access to the all-inclusive buffet. which will include an 80-lb whole pig!

3. Sakura & Spot Prawns Collab Dinner

Burdock & Co is staging a collaborative dinner which features Owner/Executive Chef Andrea Carlson and along with the executive chef of Masayosi, Masayoshi Baba. Patrons are invited to come and enjoy a feast inspired by sakura and spot prawns. Choose from two seatings (6 or 8:30 pm)

4. CedarCreek Estate Wine Pairing Dinner at The Boathouse – Richmond

The Boathouse Richmond invites area wine aficionados to a pairing event on Wednesday, May 31 with CedarCreek Estate Winery. Guests can savor a hand-crafted, six-course meal curated by The Boathouse executive chef, Alex Mok, paired with a selection of wines from CedarCreek Estate Winery.

5. Coal Harbour Liquor Store Spring Patio Tasting

Taking place on on the waterfront patio at Dockside Restaurant, Coal Harbour Liquor Store’s 3rd annual Spring Patio Tasting will include over 20 suppliers pouring an irresistible selection of international and BC wines, alongside carefully-selected BC craft beers, ciders, and spirits. Your ticket gets you all drink samples, small bites from Dockside, a $10 voucher for use at the store, a free shuttle from Dockside to the store, and 10% off dinner that night at Dockside.

6. Free rosé tasting

June is Rosé month and Wines of Provence kicks-off this celebration with a free tasting of Provence Rosés at the 39th & Cambie Signature Liquor Store on June 3. This free tasting features Wines of Provence Rosés from appellations including Côtes de Provence, Côteaux Varois en Provence and Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Provence-inspired canapés will be provided by Chef Dino Renaerts of Bon Vivant Catering Group to showcase the art and beauty of Provence.

7. Spot Prawn Boil at YEW
