The Tour Guys think so! The city’s top rated walking tour guides are launching a tasting tour that includes some of Vancouver’s most unique and diverse food carts. Running three days a week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) at 1:30, this is the tour for anyone interested in sampling a taste of Vancouver.

As the top rated tourist attraction in both Vancouver and Toronto on the world’s most popular travel review site, the Tour Guys guide hundreds of people per month on walking tours of the city – and things are about to get a whole lot tastier.
Food carts, long popular in cities around the world, have hit Vancouver by storm in the last 2 years, with 19 new carts added in 2011 alone. Offering gourmet fare at a great price, the carts are revitalizing the city’s street food scene.
“We want to give locals and tourists alike a taste of Vancouver,” says Tour Guys guide Jessica O’Neill, “the food carts that we’ve selected are unbelievable – fresh, local and inventive. Combined with some fun food facts, interactive stories and quirky food history, this tour is going to be our best one yet!”
The tour visits 4 food carts and wraps up 2 hours later at local pub. Along the way guests will have the chance to try deluxe samples and unique beverages from the best carts in the city, accompanied by an experienced guide who knows the city – and its food – inside and out. Of the 32 dollar fee, a portion goes to A Lovin’ Spoonful, a local charity helping those suffering from HIV/AIDS in Vancouver by providing them with nutritious meal delivery.
