Thick fog rolled through Vancouver this morning, engulfing the city in a blanket of clouds.
DriveBC warned drivers on the lower mainland’s bridges to be prepared for “heavy fog and dramatic views,” and that they should be ready to slow down.
The fog is expected to clear as the day goes on, and the afternoon will be mainly sunny with a high of 5°C.
But Environment Canada is forecasting a dreary end to the weekend.
Rain is expected to start early Sunday morning, bringing the temperature down to 1°C overnight.
Showers are forecasted to continue throughout the day – which will see a high of 5°C – and into Sunday night. A high of 3°C is expected overnight.
Before the sun broke through the fog, though, people across the city were able to capture the scene as the mist took over.
