25 photos of Vancouver shrouded in eerie fog

Throughout the second day of 2016, much of the Metro Vancouver region was hidden beneath a dense layer of fog.

A fog advisory was issued by Environment Canada this morning due to the near-zero visibility conditions, which were mixed in with slippery surfaces due to the cold temperatures. It was as cold as -7°C at 7 a.m. this morning, reaching no higher than 3°C.

But as usual, the foggy conditions made for some eerie yet beautiful photos. Here are some of today’s best Vancouver fog photos on Instagram that use the hashtag #VancityBuzz:
