Vancouver Fashion Week Day 3 Recap

Dec 19 2017, 1:32 pm

Continuing with my fashion coverage, this entry is coverage for day 3 of Vancouver Fashion Week at the Chinese Cultural Center last Friday (for my personal day 2 and 3 coverage, head on over to Vickyloves).

Friday’s evening shows seemed more packed than the previous 2 nights and for good reason, the shows were on another level! It was a night of over the top accessories and ethnic themed dresses, pure heaven for any fashion junkie. The vibe of the night seemed to be tribal, safari print fit for Princess Jasmin. Pure joy! The evening was running fashionably late, of course, but the collections were definitely worth the wait. Okay let’s get on with the show, here are my top favorites:

Best accessorized show of the night goes to Well Groomed.

The models came down in beautifull patterned dressed and head gear fit for a palace princess. The bold statement collar necklaces added the perfect touch to these colorful dresses. And don’t get me started on that neckline for the 3rd dress, absolutely gorgeous. The vibrant colors and overall vibe of the show was on point; young, fun, and adventurous. I almost broke out in belly dancing because I was such a fan. Not to worry, I didn’t and no one was harmed.

Not every show was as bright,  Bano eeMee did a great job of bringing a darker collection to the runway with structured jackets. These ones came with leather sleeves and hit me right in the heart because I’m a total sucker for contrasting fabrics.  The capes were a nice surprise too, bringing back the retro girly jacket. I have one myself and love wearing them with my leather gloves, it’s my way of channeling Audrey Hepburn.

And my final pick of the night goes to AngelEye for their remake on mod dresses.

There were bold prints, clean lines, and short hem lines, talk about legs galore!  Showing off your stems in a classy dress never goes out of style, and the model had legs for days. I could see that black and white dress getting passed on to my great grandchildren, timeless!

Overall, it was a great 3rd night and the shows only got better. I kept envisioning myself in the clothes coming down the runway, a sure sign that I was smitten over these collections! What do you think of the clothes? I was gone on the weekend so like myself, you’ll have to head over to Vancouver Fashion Week to check out the rest of the photos. Hope you guys enjoyed my coverage! For day 1 recap from me, you can read it on Vancitybuzz here. See you soon, until then find me here, and here. Ciao bellas!
