Vancouver Farmers Markets is hosting its annual RIPE dinner to celebrate local, seasonal food and wants you to join them for the family-style feast October 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Roundhouse.
Global’s Sophie Lui will be emceeing the event, local chefs will be preparing the meal and renowned urban agriculture expert Michael Ableman will be presenting a slide show of urban farms around the world. Tickets can be purchased at your local VFM market or at eatlocal.org.
Participating restaurants include Vij’s Rangoli, Campagnolo, Forage, Burdock & Co, Chicha, Glenburn Soda Fountain, The Dirty Apron and The Farmer’s Apprentice.
