Great Romantics

  • What: Pianist David Fray was named BBC Music Magazine’s Newcomer of the Year in 2008, and has been on the path to stardom ever since. Royal Opera House presents Rigoletto

  • What: Featuring some of opera’s most memorable tunes and a cinematic plot of revenge, Rigoletto is one of the most popular works in the repertory. Giuseppe Verdi considered it to be one of his finest works.

Urban Grind 2018 at Harbour Centre

  • What: The 633-step climb is opened annually to the public in March. Participants can make the climb once a week, on March 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. There’s a $5 entry fee to participate as many times as you wish during the day. Upon reaching the top, participants receive a free beer and a $5 voucher for Harbour Centre’s food court.

Anti-Bullying Flash Mob 2018

  • What: The flash mob is meant to raise awareness for the anti-bullying initiative and help people understand the importance of standing up against bullying no matter what form – physical, verbal, cyber or social. Students from both Delta and Surrey will be taking part in the event. They will be joined by BC Lions running back, Tyler Davis, as well as the team mascot Leo the Lion.

Speaker Series: Why We Need To Talk About Poo

JFL NorthWest Block Party

  • What: The festivities include continual stand-up specials played on a large outdoor screen, live music, and performances by some special guests. In addition to the laughter, the block party will also host food trucks from the Reef Runner and Cheese Street Grill, as well as free drinks from Tim Hortons. A beer garden will be set up at the venue, providing drinks for the entire party. There will also be an LED Games tent, featuring ping-pong and foosball, among others.
