Youthless City, a Public Dialogue

What: Hosted by the SFU Semester in Dialogue: Housing Futures, this public dialogue will explore solutions to the housing crisis through a youth perspective. Undergraduate students have spent seven weeks exploring the complexities of the housing crisis and will share the opportunities for change that they have identified through their research and dialogue with various thought leaders.

Patrolling the Port

What: A free presentation by two members of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s marine operations and security team. Hear about the global perspective on local shipping activity, learn who oversees marine safety, and why harbour patrol officers inspect ships. Guest speakers are Captain Stephen Brown, Harbour Master and Director, Marine Operations and Safety (interim), Vancouver Fraser Port Authority; and Jason Krott, Manager, Marine Operations and Fleet, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

Run Wild Vancouver presents: Survive Outside

What: Run Wild Vancouver hosts a special edition of the AdventureSmart Survive Outside classroom program. Attendees will hear from seasoned trail runners with first hand experience. They will share personal stories and practical tips to help you play safe on the trails when traveling fast and light. Attendees will also learn ways to manage the (often unexpected) dynamics of running in a group, leadership skills and things to consider when adventuring with less experienced runners.

Mad Pride | Mad Honey
