Free outdoor movies in Stanley Park – Grease

  • What: Watch Grease at Stanley Park, part of Evo Summer Cinema Series’ 10th Anniversary. Enjoy the film on a four-story inflatable movie screen. Please bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs and, since it’s a family-friendly event, smoking or alcohol is not permitted. Moviegoers are encouraged to walk, take transit, or bike to Stanley Park for the shows  – there will be a bike valet service offered on site each night too.

AJJ + Kimya Dawson

  • What: AJJ, is a folk-punk outfit from Phoenix, Arizona. Singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson is best known for her work with the anti-folk outfit the Moldy Peaches, but she also maintained a lo-fi solo career during the 2000s. Featuring special guest Shellshag.

RCMP Musical Ride – Richmond

  • What: A unique display of Canadian showmanship! Watch a full troop of 32 riders and their horses take part in intricate drills and choreography, once assembling in the famous “Dome” formation which has been featured on the back of the Canadian fifty-dollar bill. Pre-show begins at 6:30 pm and Musical Ride begins at 7:45 pm.

Guys & Dolls

  • What: He’s a gambler, she’s a missionary worker. Sky Masterson and Sarah Brown are an unlikely match made in musical comedy heaven. Toss in a hypochondriac in Miss Adelaide, a chronic gambler in Nathan Detroit and a host of quirky characters and it all adds up to one of the best musicals of the last century. Directed by Jennifer Suratos, with music director Marquis Byrd and co-choreographers Rachael Carlson and Amanda Lau.

Business Leaders Golf Tournament

  • What: The 2018 ACG-BIV Business Leaders Golf Tournament is a full-day event that kicks off with registration and networking, continuing on to a shotgun golf format with on-course contests, then finishing in the evening with a networking reception, dinner and an awards ceremony.

Rumors – A Comedic Farce by Neil Simon

  • What: Rumors features ridiculous, witty wordplay and slamming doors. The play is set at the home of Charlie and Myra Brock at a dinner party to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. When the party first guests arrive, they find Charlie passed out upstairs with a bullet hole in his earlobe, and Myra is nowhere to be seen. Hilarity ensues.
