Vancouver Podcast Festival

What: Vancouver Podcast Festival highlights the “power of podcasting” as a non-fiction media. Presented by DOXA, the festival features four days of panels, hands-on workshops, and live podcast presentations and tapings. The live shows feature some of the most recognized names in podcasting as they perform and talk about their creative process. Live shows will be taking place at the Rio Theatre, Vancouver Public Library, and SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

TechPong 2019

What: TechPong, hosted by CHIMP (Charitable Impact), is an epic, one-night event hosted at Science World to bring together the tech community in the name of charity. On November 7, Vancouver’s tech community will rally together, with over 1,000 attendees from local start-ups and global companies expected to join in on the fun, with the event looking to collectively raise $100,000 for a number of great causes.

This year, TechPong 2019 will have a Fun Fair theme, to include a floor full of carnival games to raise additional money for charity, as well as music and entertainment, and a bar run by Parallel 49 Brewing Company. Attendees are welcomed to register a team, or just stop by and watch the fun unfold.

Circle Craft Christmas Market

What: The 47th annual Circle Craft Christmas Market hosts more than 300 different artisans and vendors from across Canada and features everything from pottery and fashion to craft distilleries.

Reverse 7-Eleven Day

What: Not even a cold snap could stop true Slurpee fans from missing this one-day promotion! The Canada-wide chain of convenience stores is celebrating Reverse 7-Eleven Day by giving away free medium-sized Slurpees. There’s just one catch: to take advantage of this free giveaway, Slurpee fans have to dress backwards.
