28 Hour Stand-up Comedy Marathon for Wildfire Relief

  • What: Enjoy dozen of top Vancouver comics in a 28 hour Comedy Marathon, with all proceeds going to aide BC wildfire relief.

CBC Musical Nooners

  • What: Free, live music concerts will be happening every weekday on the CBC Vancouver outdoor stage. Grab your lunch, your friends, your kids or your co-workers and join the party. Opening day runs until 1:45 pm, and features Fake Shark and Said The Whale.

RC Weslowski at Vancouver Poetry Slam

  • What: RC Weslowski is a 2017 VPL Bookcamp Keynote Speaker, winner of the 2016 Sheri D Wilson Golden Beret Award and the 2012 Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Champion. He is a two-time World Cup of Poetry Slam Finalist and seven time member of the Vancouver Poetry Slam Team. The co-founder and co-director of Hullabaloo: the BC Youth Spoken Word Festival features at Vancouver Poetry Slam.

Yin Yoga in the Garden

  • What: Enjoy yoga, under the trees. Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that is suitable for beginners or students seeking a slower, more meditative practice. Bring a yoga mat, any props you may like to use, and extra layers for cooler weather. In case of rain, class will take place indoors. Meet in the Visitor Centre Entrance Hall 10 minutes early.

Vancouver Queer Film Festival – Intergenerations Social

The conversation continues with the cast members of “Stay Gold Man Up” and “The March Sweater” during this afternoon social prior to the screening of “Stay Gold, March Forward”.
