Lansdowne Centre’s Drive-In Halloween Movie
What: Disney-lovers will be able to visit Metro Vancouver’s popular drive-in venue to catch the 2019 release of The Lion King. The free-to-attend event is also paired with two costume contests. The first is a “car costume contest,” which people can enter by posting photos of their car in costume on FreshAirCinema’s Facebook. Winners will be chosen from attendees that bring their car, in costume, to the movie. The second is a kids costume contest, which will take place an hour before the movie begins, with a prize for best costume.

Anmore Manor Haunted House
What: Anmore Man has been a local neighbourhood scare for the past seven years. Visitors are invited to step inside the home and partake in a number of handmade decorations, horror scenes, and terrifying live actors.

Assassin’s Creed Symphony
What: Experience the action of Assassin’s Creed series with a live 80-piece orchestra and choir and video game footage. Cult Classic Comedy!
What: Instant Theatre celebrates the Halloween season with a horror movie inspired comedy show. The comedians will watch the first five minutes of a cult classic horror film with the audience and then improvise the rest.

SPARK ANIMATION 2019 Film Festival
What: SPARK ANIMATION celebrates the impact of animation on today’s entertainment industry and honours the diversity of films and techniques in the field. Highlights include Hollywood producer Bonnie Arnold receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, a 20th Anniversary screening of Disney’s Tarzan with the co-directors, the SPARK Animation Conference and Career Fair, film premieres and screenings, and more. Proceeds from this year’s festival will be donated to Covenant House Vancouver.

Taste of Yaletown 2019
What: The annual food fest is returning for its 15th year of special menus, tasting plates, and expert pairings in the restaurants of one of Vancouver’s swankiest downtown neighbourhoods.
