Winter is officially winding down, and there’s lots of weekend to enjoy! Here are 10 fun events happening in Vancouver on March 8, including FLEUR Luxury Wedding Show and Forum and Alan Doyle.

What: The FLEUR Luxury Wedding Show and Forum is an enchanting and glamorous event produced by Aly Armstrong, principal planner at Aly Armstrong Event Planning and Design. The event features immersive workshops, panel discussions, industry influencers, and an incredible fashion show. Attendees will also be able to explore the latest wedding trends during a panel session hosted by Alison McGill, editor-in-chief of Weddingbells.

Tickets for FLEUR are available online and include a welcome glass of champagne, participation in breakout sessions, and speciality gifts from the gifting suite.

Alan Doyle

What: Alan Doyle is a songwriter, actor, and 12-time JUNO Award nominee for his solo material and work with Great Big Sea. He brings his Rough Side Out tour to Vancouver with his six-piece band and special guest Kelly Prescott.

Eastside Flea

What: Eastside Flea is a modern-day flea market that takes place bi-weekly in Vancouver. Each event hosts over 50 local vendors selling diverse goods from handmade independent maker wares to vintage clothing, collectibles, plants, artisan eats, and more. You’ll also find food trucks, live DJs, and more.

When: March 7 and 8, March 21 and 22, April 4 and 5, April 18 and 19, 2020

KIDZ BOP World Tour

What: KIDZ BOP Kids are bringing their interactive family-friendly show to the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on Sunday, March 8, which will be the last concert during the Canadian leg of their world tour. KIDZ BOP Kids have sold more than 20 million albums and made it to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 Chart a whopping 24 times.

Red Barn Fun Day

What: Terra Nova Rural Park artists host a family-friendly exploration of art and nature. Attendees will meet at the Red Bar and then go on a guided nature walk. There will be seasonal tea and hands-on craft activities to enjoy, and everyone is welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather.

Come Try Ringette

What: The Surrey White Rock Ringette Association invites all children ages four and up to try Ringette. A qualified instructor will introduce participants to the on ice sport. No skating experience is required, and skate and helmets will be available. Pre-registration is required.

Cannery Farmers’ Market

What: The Cannery Farmers’ Market is Steveston’s indoor winter market, held at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site.
