Joey Larock/House of Vans

What: You can enjoy skating at a custom indoor skatepark designed in partnership with the skateboard community, listen to live music, check out art installations, join a workshop, play games (ring toss, anyone?), and much more. From May 30 to June 2, Vans will be bringing their legendary House of Vans pop-up to Vancouver — for the first time ever. Taking place at the Harbour Event Centre, the densely-packed, four-day celebration is somewhere that you can let your imagination loose and find creative inspiration around every corner.

The Japan Market Early Summer Fair

What: The Japan Market Early Summer Fair will heavily focus on crafts and Japanese merchandise, plus offer lots of delicious food options. Market-goers can expect even more food vendors, packaged sweets and food, and even Japanese cultural workshops and a live Koto performance.

Soi Dog Canada Mutt March: “Fixin to Save Lives” 

What: The purpose of this fun family 2k or 5k walk is to raise awareness and support for spaying/neutering hundreds of thousands of street dogs and cats, and to raise funds for several spay/neuter programs across Canada and for Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand. There will be fun for the whole family, with lots for the kids to do including games at the “Kids Corner”. Pet service providers on-site with information. Face painting, prizes, food, dog contests, and other pet-centric activities throughout the day.

“What Are You?” – A Comedy Show Featuring Multiethnic Comics

What: A hilarious evening presented by Hapa-palooza Festival featuring some of Vancouver’s most talented multiethnic comedians delivering comedy sets on identity. Hosted by Julie Kim with headliner, Patrick Maliha. Featuring comedians Cory Lupovici, Ashlee Ferral, Savannah Erasmus, Steve Sidi, Desmond Williams, and Erin Offer.

Pints & Paws

What: An annual pub night in support of the BC SPCA Tri-Cities Education & Adoption Centre, Join fellow animal lovers at Pints & Paws for a great meal and a drink at the John B Neighbourhood Pub in Coquitlam. There will be a silent auction along with fun games and activities. Tickets are $25 each and include your choice of a vegan, veggie or fish burger with fries and a beer, highball or glass of wine plus a chance to take home some wonderful prizes. All proceeds from Pints & Paws support abandoned, neglected or abused animals in the care of the BC SPCA Tri-Cities Education & Adoption Centre.

Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival 2019 – Coquitlam

What: The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is back for its sixth year featuring delicious grub-on-wheels, drinks, and more. This year brings drool-worthy events from the Fraser Valley Food Truck Association, each featuring 28 trucks to enjoy.

Richmond Night Market
