Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art presents BODY LANGUAGE: Reawakening Cultural Tattooing of the Northwest

What: Guest curator Dion Kaszas of the Nlaka’pamux First Nation traces the deep-rooted traditions of Indigenous tattooing, piercing and personal adornment. Uncover the symbolic and distinctive designs for skin, and their relationship to traditional clothing, rock art, jewelry, basketry, and weaving with works by Nakkita Trimble (Nisga’a); Nahaan (Tlingit); Corey Bulpitt (Haida); Dean Hunt (Heiltsuk) and Dion Kaszas (Nlaka’pamux).

Behind the Scenes Sunday at Dead Frog Brewery – Brewery Tours and Q&A

What: Dead Frog Brewery is offering free behind the scenes tour of their facility, including a guided walk through the brewing process and a Q&A period. Learn everything there is to know from our brewmaster Cole himself. There will also be Nutty Uncle Beer Floats available in the tasting room all day. Tours every hour from 12 to 4 pm. Local artist Patrick Gavigan will be performing in the tasting room from 2:30 pm to 6 pm.
