Super Bowl @ Sportsbar Live!

What: On February 2, The Sportsbar LIVE! at Rogers Arena is hosting an epic Super Bowl Sunday party so you can cheer on your team (or just watch the highly anticipated commercials) in the ultimate game-day setting. The venue features 102 high definition TVs and a 90-ft. bar with a second to none A/V experience that puts you right in the touchdown action.

What: 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche takes the audience back to 1956, where the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are meeting for their annual quiche breakfast. Will the group be able to maintain their cool when Communists threaten their blissful town?

What: Dine Out Vancouver is an annual festival boasting culinary experiences from over 300 restaurants. Events include guided dining adventures, brunch crawls, cocktail masterclasses, wine debates, guest chef dinners, BC VQA wine and craft beer tastings, street food markets, and more.

The Fever

What: The Fever by 600 HIGHWAYMEN asks the questions “How much can we trust other people? How do we form our conceptions of them? What does it take for us to work together?” The theatrical performance is a study of community, caring and mutual reliance; limits will be tested and bonds will form. There is a post-show talkback on January 31.

West Craft’s Sunday Service

What: West Craft (Hopwired Festival, Fruit Beer Fest) will be setting up shop at East Vancouver’s Prototype Coffee every Sunday until February 2. The temporary residency will offer patrons rare and hard-to-find craft beers alongside Prototypes coffee and snacks, and proceeds go towards supporting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. West Craft will also be collecting non-perishable food items.

What: Free Admission is a personal, political, and philosophical solo show by Ursula Martinez. Described as a monologue with a meta twist, Martinez talks about life’s paradoxes, absurdities of contemporary living and her own intimate feelings while building a wall between herself and the audience.
