  • What: Entering its 27th year, the event celebrates one of BC’s favourite fruits and gives attendants a chance to learn about the diversity of apples, as well as taste a number of rare and peculiar varieties. One of the festival’s most popular events will be the “Friends of the Garden” apple tasting tent. There, visitors will be able to sample up to 60 kinds of new and heritage apples, all grown within British Columbia. Patrons will also be able to purchase an extensive variety of apples and apple trees to take home.

Fleetwood Labyrinth’s 10th Anniversary Celebration

  • What: Join others in walking the labyrinth in Fleetwood to the sounds of live, meditative music performed by a harpist or violinist. This event is in honour of Fleetwood Park Labyrinth’s 10th Anniversary. Free birthday cake will be provided.

Ranfei Wang Charity Piano Concert

  • What: Ranfei Wang performs selections from Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven and Prokofiev. All proceeds of the concert will go towards the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

Gordon’s Brook Restoration Celebration

Talk with project experts, take a biologist-guided wetland tour (rubber boots recommended), enjoy festival-style booths and family-friendly activities, and more.

Flashlight Mysteries

  • What: Learn about local night animals in the day use area through activities, performances, exhibitors and storytelling. Lanterns will lead you to Detective Headquarters where park interpreters will introduce the mystery. Nancy the spider is hosting a masquerade party for local nightlife. Help her figure out which animal has crashed her party as you collect clues at stations along the trail.

The Music of War: 100th Anniversary Commemoration

  • What: This fall marks the 100th year since the end of the WWI. In this concert, pianist Maria Jung and guests commemorate this meaningful anniversary through voice, clarinet and piano. With music and poetry touched by war, the musicians will showcase composers and poets who were involved in, or inspired by, the events of the War to End all Wars. Enjoy works by Britten, McCabe, Debussy, Vaughan-Williams, Ivor Gurney as well as a few memorable tunes that were popular during wartime.

Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt

  • What: Luke Bryan is coming back to Vancouver with Sam Hunt as part of his “What Makes You Country” stadium tour this fall. The country stars will share the stage with special guests Jon Pardi and Carly Pearce as part of the tour. “What Makes You Country Tour” is named after Bryan’s recently released album that debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts. It is his third consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Top 200 and his fifth #1 debut on the Top Country Albums chart.
